Future Plans For Our Sites

Heya everyone, it's been a hot minute since the last big update to the site, and I have some news to share. We've decided that we're going to remake this site from the bottom up. It'll still have a lot of the same information as it does right now--It'll just be updated, with a new layout and all.

The main reason why we want to just completely remake the site is because it was initially built with very little html & css knowledge (that we had mainly from tumblr blog editing), and it had been built onto over time. There are still remains of old code scattered about here and there. Now the code is kind of messy feeling, and a lot of the formatting doesn't make sense to us anymore.

Some things we're hoping to do include: moving all alter information to circozy.cafe which may or may not get its own rebuild, reformat the about page, create shrines for our interests, have a native guestbook, update how our art is displayed, and more. We're also considering creating a separate site just for keeping information about the Plural Peafowl flag, as well as any other terminology and flags we come up with relating to dissociative disorders.

Another thing we are trying to figure out is if we want to move to nekoweb or stay on neocities. On one hand, we've been with neocities for a while now and have been a supporter. It's what we're most familiar with. But on the other hand, we keep hearing about how neocities supports/likes AI...? I haven't been able to find the specific details but just hearing about that alone is making us consider moving to somewhere strictly anti-AI. If anyone has links to more specific deets, please don't hesitate to drop them in the comments.

Overall, I'm glad to get back into coding. We've been having a lot of issues with our creativity lately, so having the drive to actually code is like a breath of fresh air. I hope you all enjoy what the site will look like in the future! :)

Life Updates (Where's the Parx entry & more)

Hey everyone, it's Knight.
Life's been pretty busy since April and Proxy has just been frozen on how to write the Waterparks blog. He can't really figure out a way to summarize it easily. He also doesn't want to give like, a fucking play-by-play of the experience, 'cause that can get boring to read. He also wants to write a blog post about the Starset concert we went to in late April (the Waterparks one was in early April), but can't because he wants to finish the Waterparks one first. You can kind of see how it's gotten backed up and difficult for him, on top of being busy in real life with work and other commitments. We're often physically too tired for parts of our hobbies—especially ones that take a lot more brain energy like blog writing—and it sucks ass :(... That being said, though, I have a few quick updates to share with you all.

First off, last week we began guitar lessons, and have our own guitar. His name is Elliott and we use he/they/it pronouns for it :). He's a Jackson Dinky JS22 in metallic blue! We might share a pic of him here sometime, once we have them in a proper guitar stand. Maybe even make him a little page or something.
We mainly started lessons because Matcha, Eddie, and myself miss playing in a source sense. Luckily, we've found that a lot of others in here like playing as well! So that's fun. So far we've been learning bits and pieces from 90's rock bands, as well as Waterparks songs for my own indulgence. Today we actually had our lessons, and have learned what our instructor called "Spider Exercises" because we mainly with getting our fingers to stretch out for the top of the fret board.

Second, we got proposed to by our partner system, dracodatum.co, on thursday! I wasn't really around for it, but it proposed to us in front of the aquarium it'd been saying it'd propose to us at since we were teens... so it was really sweet, at a pride event nonetheless!! No idea when the actual marriage will happen, but it'll probably be next year or something. And be something small with friends and very few family.

Lastly, the site we've been working on together for system information is slooooowly coming together. I'll share the link here for now; it's circozy.cafe. It's still a HUGE work in progress, so please don't be too harsh on it. We'll probably have it officially linked to this site once it's a little more along in it's creation.

I don't really know how to end this blog post, though. Just know that the blog posts about the concerts ARE coming... We just gotta figure out how to type them in a way that's satisfying. Thanks for reading :)

Happy New Year 2024! (& Future Plans)

Heyo! It's been a hot minute since our last blog post. In between IRL life being really busy and feeling out some extreme creative burnout, we really haven't had the time or energy to do much on our site or other projects. That being said, we wanted to post a quick blog to say Happy New Year to all of you!! I hope 2024 is better for all of us!

In this new year, we will be continuing work on a new site that will host all of our system information (that's why any/all system information on this site is currently outdated; please go here for up to date information until further notice). Furthermore, we will be going to Waterparks' Sneaking Out of Heaven Tour in early April, so expect a blog about that just as we had created one last year for The Intellectual Property Tour! We even got VIP tickets this time, so we'll probably be talking about meeting the band too~.

Those two big things aside, have you all checked out Knight's personal site? We plan on having personal sites for alters that want them in the coming future too!
What about our new tumblr blog that will be posting whenever the site updates and displaying our creations for our sites? Please feel free to give it a follow and reblog our content there if you wanna!

All things considered, this is just a short and disjointed blog post to say there are new things coming to our site and general online presence! Hope to see y'all around! <3

Waterparks @ Anaheim!

Hello! I got back from Anaheim this morning (when I had first started typing this blog post on May the 1st) with data and Bel! It was a super fun trip, seeing Waterparks live for the first time, as well as going to the Homestuck Café. We even got to hang out with another online friend while down there after the café. Some annoying things happened at the hotel (like a kid pulling a fire alarm twice for no reason 🙃), but that also, overall, was okay, since it only happened twice. Didn't get to eat hotel breakfast like I wanted to because of the kids, either. I didn't really take into consideration that Disney Families™ would be there too when booking our hotel.😅

Waterparks at House of Blues Anaheim

The Waterparks concert was AMAZING!!! This is my first concert since going to see Hilary Duff as a kid, and I had such a blast. Honestly, I came out of it feeling like a changed person. First off, we upgraded our seats before we left so we wouldn't have to wait in line and wouldn't have to stand since I have back issues. Security for that was kind of a pain in the ass, though. We had no obvious notice of how bags worked for concerts, like rules and shit, so we brought our usual day bags and had to go back to the hotel to get rid of them. Security assumed we came here by our own car when in reality we walked from our hotel to there in the first place. We didn't want to waste time walking back and fourth, so we Lyfted from the venue to our hotel and back. While at the hotel, data tripped and scraped it's knee... so we blamed it on the security guard. Also, Ed Sheeran taunted him in the car with this song the moment we got into the Lyft to go back to the venue, and quickly became a meme between the three of us for the rest of the trip.

When we came back to go into the quick access/VIP room after all that, we almost got sent back again because apparently Bel was wearing something too spiky.😒 Why didn't they say something before the first trip, and why would it matter if we're just relaxing in those seats??? But luckily, they said they'd just hold on to it and we can pick it up after the concert, so that's what we did.

After all of that though, we got inside to our mezzanine seats. The VIP area was awesome, and I kind of regret not using it to our advantage more than we did. Even the preshow artists were good, too! I'm happy to have some new artists, Daisy Grenade and Hunny, to listen to out of this experience.

After Daisy Grenade played, we went to the merch area to pick up some merch, and sadly had missed out on the Anaheim Exclusive Hoodie.😔 We did get hella other merch though, so it'll be okay. We also decided to just blame it on the security guard--who we also decided had Ed Sheeran as an alter ego, and thus the meme grew. While we were at the merch stand, Hunny had started playing, so we returned to our seats, merchandise in tow.

After Hunny, there was an intermission where they prepared the stage for Waterparks, and we got super excited to see what was being unveiled; framed screens and Otto's drum set.

And then, after 30 minutes or so, the concert started.

I got a little mad because they were starting it off with some ambiance and a completely black stage--which the floor crowd promptly ruined by shining ALL of their phone lights at the stage. Come on guys, let the band have their cool entrance.
The first song was ST*RFUCKER (⚠️ EYE STRAIN/FLASHING VIDEO WARNING??), and it was super sick!! It's one of my favorites on their newest album, so of course the live performance did it justice.

I honestly wanted to make a compilation of all the songs I recorded for this blog and put it here, as well as Awsten being his batshit (affectionate) self, but it would honestly take too much energy for what it's worth right now. I may link to it here in the future, though, so this blog will get its own little addendum some day.

Also, I am so glad that we upgraded our tickets to those seats because I didn't realize that there would be mosh pits. 🫢 As someone who has chronic back issues, I probably would have imploded if I was on the ground floor with those. They were super cool to witness from up above, though. And during heavier songs, like RITUAL (⚠️ EYE STRAIN/FLASHING VIDEO WARNING RELIGIOUS TRAUMA IMPLIED?), they were super nuts.
Again, I wanted to embed some videos here too, but I don't even know if I got video of them.😅

Eventually we got to the final song, which was A NIGHT OUT ON EARTH (⚠️ EYE STRAIN/FLASHING VIDEO WARNING), and is another one of my favorite songs from the new album. It was an amazing performance as well!
After that song, it grew dark and silent, and seemed like it was genuinely over.
The crowd chanted for an encore... and it was delivered.

It started with REALSUPERDARK (⚠️ I THINK YOU GET THE GIST NOW, PARX LIKES EYESTRAIN & FLASHING VIDEOS LATELY), then went into Turbulent (finally, no flash warning, its just the album art)... with one of the sickest transitions between songs. He gets down on the floor at the end of REALSUPERDARK, it grows silent, then you hear the quieter synths from the end of Turbulent. After a few moments of complete darkness, Awsten yells, "Anaheim....... ANAHEIM!!!"--then the intense bass and guitar punches in from the song--"MOVE THAT FUCKING PIT APART FOR ME RIGHT NOW!!"--there are sirens--"BY THE TIME I GET UP THERE'D BETTER BE AN OPENING!!! (DON'T FUCK THIS UP?)!"
And the song begins.
The pit is open, the crowd is singing along extremely loudly, and the energy is fire. That was the craziest I saw the pit get that night, but luckily it wasn't so crazy it hurt someone.

I think there were one or two more songs after that, before they finally ended with Funeral Grey--so a happier, less intense song to end on. Once they were done, my brain felt rewired in a good way. When they finally left the stage, this appeared on the screens:

The concert ended and I left feeling like a changed person. It was amazing, and I really want to see Waterparks live again. Hell, I'd buy tickets for the last USA showings in LA if I knew I'd have the money to go back down there for it. I am now pretty obsessed with the band, its like they filled the niche that Twenty One Pilots did in high school (no offense to TØP fans, but they kind of fell off for me when Heathens came out 😵).

We left the venue energized, took photos with our merch, wrote on some walls with chalk, and went to our hotel to rest for the next day; going to the Homestuck Cafe.

I will leave the Homestuck Cafe for another blog post potentially, because I really can't type anymore right now. Plus, this blog is already an over-a-month long WIP due to depressive episodes, work making me tired, and just a whole lot of weird brain problems.

Thanks for reading, though! And seriously. Go listen to Waterparks!

Updates & General Life Stuff

Hey everyone, sorry we never really got around to typing up that Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2  review thing.
I just hadn't been feeling like typing up all my opinions, and the fact that it started feeling like a chore doesn't help 😅 and I never really want typing in my personal blog to feel like a chore, you know?

Life has been quite hectic since my last blog post. We moved into a new apartment months ago, and I very recently got on some temporary disability money in, which is great! We even are getting furniture we've been desperately needing since moving this week. Life's really just been us working, both irl and on our site. A few fun times around Xmas of course, and just general existence happening with everyone. Nothing super intense to report to my memory, just moving and getting temp. disability.

BUT! I am excited that we will be going to see Waterparks at the end of April with our significant other and a friend of ours, as well as going to the Homestuck Café~! 👀 I've also been reading Homestuck using the Unofficial Homestuck Collection to prep for the latter (I was one of those teens that never finished reading it, and didn't get too far in on my first read back then... forgive me). Maybe we'll do a review of both the concert and the café, but I'm not gonna make any promises because I think the pressure of that alone is what makes posting here feel like a chore, if anything.

So yeah! Let's hope we can type in here more without feeling a whole lot of pressure about it. Maybe I'll figure out how I want to put comments on our site in the meantime. We shall see! 💜

Happy Birthday :')

Hey, it's my birthday! But I'm not too crazy about it because even though I'm turning 24, I still feel like I'm 21... is it because of the pandemic, maybe? Or just not getting big life things done early on like a lot of people seem to do (college, career, etc.)?

I feel like I haven't achieved much since I turned 21... I guess, is another reason why... Maybe I'll post something else at the end of the day to say how my birthday day has went, since its almost 5 AM and I do have work today, as well as my partner planning to take me out after work... so we shall see, but right now, I'm not feeling too jazzed about aging.

EDIT 5/19: I actually didn't get to talk about how my birthday went because it was too hot, we had to move the plans to this weekend! And the moment I got home I got dinner then literally PASSED TF OUT after it so it's okay! Still got myself gifts too, and my partner got me a cool gay godzilla bag c:
